As a part of our curriculum, we at Bharda celebrate all major festivals. It is seen as a great opportunity to explore cultures and inculcate a feeling of tolerance among students.
Christmas everywhere is celebrated as a joyous affair, we too brought in the festivals for our children with manifolds of joy.
A lovely Christmas tree welcomed everyone at the entrance. A crib depicting the birth of Jesus was a beautiful exhibit. The exhibit and the tree was so magically decorated by the relentless efforts of our art teacher Mrs. Agawane and some student volunteers that every face that entered the premise beamed with a smile.
The energy especially on the ground floor was resonating with laughter, joy much like the spirit of Christmas.
A special assembly of the little children was held. It was beautifully brought together by Mr. Dominic Rose, Mrs. D’souza, Ms. Vaz and Miss. Khan Christmas song like “we wish you a Merry Christmas……”, “Dashing through the snow” ….. filled the air with festivity. Little Santa too made a grand entry and gave adorable poses to click.
This was followed by several class-wise activities, children participated with enthusiasm along with their teachers to decorate the classes with hand-made cards, symbols of Christmas and in no time the entire building were a festive look.
The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on every child’s face and their delight was uncontained especially when Secret Santa gifts were exchanged among students.
It is so true that Christmas is also called ‘The Feast of Happiness’ as it was evident in the celebration at Bharda.
