The interact club of Bharda New High School took up the initiative for the first time to set up a Bird Feeding Station in the backyard of their school. The objective behind this unique project is to help the birds find their food easily since the winter is approaching and it will be difficult for the birds to find food. The club also aimed at providing an opportunity to enhance the habitat for wildlife and to view birds at first hand.
The project involved planning in a great deal. The interactors first selected the best-suited place to set up the bird-feeding station among the shrubs and the plants Then went ahead purchasing and making bird feeders. On the scheduled day the interactors themselves painted the chosen wall. With the help of the school helper, they put up brackets and a pole to put their bird feeders.
In all 35 bird feeders were put either hanging on the poles and on the brackets filled with a variety of grains, seeds such as jowar, bajra, sunflower seeds. They even kept water in some feeders. The interactors enjoyed participating in the project and took a resolve that they will visit the bird feeding station regularly to check the supplies of food and water. They also took an oath to protect the birds and help protect these speechless creatures of God. They decided to take care of their Bird Feeding Station.
The project was a success due to the combined efforts of each and every interactors who worked with utmost dedication. The club worked as a team to achieve their goal.
The club expresses their thanks to the moderators for their continuous guidance, support, and innovative ideas.
Last but not the least the Interact Club expresses their gratitude to our principal Mrs Vinita Lewis for her cooperation.
