Four engaging and impactful sessions of Sparsh – Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse were conducted at Bharda New High School, an Interact partner of the Rotary Club of Bombay, on 4th and 25th August 2025. The sessions were led by Ms. Zainab Lokhandwalla from the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay.
On the first day, workshops were held for students of Standards 1 & 2 and Standards 3 & 4, while the second day covered Standards 5 & 6 and Standards 7 & 8.
Students were taught how to identify safe and unsafe situations and the appropriate ways to respond to or handle unsafe circumstances. For the older students, additional discussions were held on Internet Safety, basic norms of Personal Safety, and resisting bullying or peer pressure.
The sessions included interactive discussions with situational examples, and the enthusiastic participation of the children reflected their eagerness to learn.
Overall, the workshops proved to be enriching and rewarding, leaving the students with valuable insights to help them stay safe and empowered.
